Women’s Super League 2026/27 Transfer Windows Dates Confirmed

The countdown to another frantic Women’s Super League reshuffle has begun.

League officials have confirmed the dates for the 2026/27 transfer windows, locking in the calendar that will shape squads, title races, and survival bids long before a ball is kicked.

The summer window opens on Tuesday, June 16, giving clubs the green light to start registering new players. From that moment, the market is live, and recruitment teams will move from planning to execution.

They will have until 11pm (UK time) on Thursday, September 3 to get their deals over the line. That late-summer deadline, familiar for its drama and last-minute paperwork, now has a fixed place in the diary.

Winter Transfer Window

Once the first half of the season is under way and early verdicts are forming on squads and systems, attention will swing to the winter market. The league has set Monday, January 4, 2027 as the opening day for mid-season business, with clubs able to trade until 11pm on Thursday, February 4.

Those dates matter. Last season’s windows showed exactly how decisive smart work can be. During the summer, the club moved to bring in Chloe Kelly, Taylor Hinds, Anneke Borbe, and Olivia Smith, laying down a clear statement with a blend of proven quality and future potential. When January arrived, Smilla Holmberg joined to strengthen the group, while Barbora Votikova came in on loan to add experience and depth in a key position.

That pattern will be in the minds of every sporting director and head coach now. The framework is set, the clock is ticking, and the next round of squad-building starts on June 16.
