Borussia Dortmund Target Ibrahim Mbaye from PSG

Borussia Dortmund have set their sights on one of Paris Saint-Germain’s brightest young forwards, opening talks over a potential move for Ibrahim Mbaye, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The German club, always alert to emerging talent, have made contact to explore the conditions of a deal for the 18-year-old winger. At this stage it is an enquiry, not a negotiation, but it underlines Dortmund’s intention to refresh and sharpen their attacking options with another high-upside prospect.

Mbaye is already on several shortlists across Europe. The teenager has also attracted interest from the Premier League, with Aston Villa among the clubs credited with an eye on him. Any move would pit Dortmund against English money and ambition, a familiar battle in the current market.

Despite his age, Mbaye has already collected 42 senior appearances for PSG, contributing four goals and four assists. Those numbers do not yet scream superstardom, but they hint at a player trusted enough to feature regularly in a squad packed with attacking talent. His contract at the Parc des Princes runs until 2028, a detail that hands PSG strong leverage in any talks and ensures that prising him away will not be cheap.

Dortmund know that territory well. This is the profile they specialise in: a teenager with first-team minutes at an elite club, proven at the top level but still far from his ceiling. The question now is simple: can they convince PSG to part with another prized asset—and can they beat the Premier League to his signature?
