Arsenal Women Squad Number Changes for 2026/27 Season
The numbers on the back of the shirts are changing. For four Arsenal Women players, they carry a little more weight heading into the 2026/27 season.
Daphne van Domselaar
Goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar takes the most symbolic of them all: the No 1 shirt. It is the classic goalkeeper’s number, a clear statement that she stands at the front of the queue between the posts as Arsenal reshape for the new campaign.
Caitlin Foord
Up front, there is another significant switch. Caitlin Foord moves into the No 9 jersey, the traditional home of the side’s central attacking threat. For a forward of her pedigree, it feels like a natural fit – and a visible nod to the responsibility she is expected to shoulder in the final third.
Olivia Smith
On the flanks and in advanced areas, Olivia Smith will now wear No 11, a number steeped in attacking history. It suits a player expected to bring direct running, creativity and end product, and underlines her growing status in the squad.
Michelle Agyemang
Rising talent Michelle Agyemang steps into No 17, a modern forward’s number that often ends up on the backs of breakout players. It is a subtle but telling marker of where the club see her: part of the present, not just the future.
The club have moved to protect supporters who already committed to the previous numbers for 2026/27. Fans who bought shirts through Arsenal Direct can request a free refund on jerseys printed with the old squad numbers. Those who picked up their kits at the Armoury or Highbury stores are not left behind either: they can bring their shirt back in and exchange it at no cost for one bearing the new number, as long as they can show proof of purchase.
New season, new numbers, and for these four players, a new level of expectation stitched into every shirt.
